I am here to water this garden today.
This is a place where I can plant seeds, grow ideas, and then examine them. I can learn about the process that takes me from idea to fruition.
I can watch the ideas “go to seed” and plan to save them for future seasons, or simply let them fall to the ground and create their own endings. Sometimes ideas (plants) that have “gone to seed” come with tasty, spicy yellow flowers like wild arugula.
A picture of my arugula gone to seed.
I can get to know the friends that surround me while I work. I can communicate with those friends.
When I am in my food garden, I will talk to a tortoise or a snake a mouse, a bunny, a bird, a stray cat or dog, a tree, the sun, the moon, a cloud, a bug, a bee, or a wasp. I could go on.

I did not include bees and wasps in the bug category because I consider them their own specific category.
The wasp is in the predator category. We need them in the garden. They do a lot of good work.
They also help me to stay alert and stand up for myself when under attack. I think this would be akin to the public who may or may not (probably never 😊 ) one day jump into comments in my substack to “have a go at me.”
Let’s not make it happen by speaking it.
Shh.
But in real life, I have been tested.
I have become grateful for one that tests me on a regular basis. She is teaching me how to develop my power to give a human a clean slate every time. You remember what information they cannot hold, and what manipulative traps they might try to set. You still see their ego speaking for accolades. You can observe their bad behaviors without letting them affect you directly.
It is okay. They are them. But their existence has taught you something, and you cannot deny it. Sometimes, if you look hard enough, you might be surprised to find that there is one thing that they are actually great at.
It is possible. *wink.
We would call that person “Patoodis,” if we had to give it a name; as a general category of types.
Hey Patoodis, you can do dis. Have a grow.
…………..I have been “that guy.”

Wasps keep me from taking my safety for granted as I sweep my hand through the Arabica coffee leaves, collecting red berries with coffee beans in them.
The leaves are large and waxy and they hang down in such a way that the water runs right off them. Wasps like to build a home under them, where they can stay cool and dry. That makes sense.
I placed bees in a category unto themselves, simply from a feeling of reverence for them and in recognition of their incredible uniqueness.
There are stories about bees being strange “beings” (pun intended) from another realm. I would not be surprised at all.
I have heard many wonderful things about the toroidal field surrounding a bee as it buzzes and the relation between that and our energy fields.
I sit in the purslane with my cat and I watch the bees dive into the flowers. Their little bee bodies stick out upside down, less than an inch away from me. They are mostly vulnerable at that point, although I would certainly not try to grab one!
I am just grateful that they can read my presence as
non-threatening. I am honored to commiserate with them.

In a writing garden there are many human friends, perhaps a robot or two, maybe a troll (wasp); who knows? There are people who share my thoughts, dreams, and interests. Those are rare in the regular world; at least in the circles I travel in. I may talk to someone who feels that we no longer need government at all. How refreshing. It just feels good to type those words: no rulers for me, thank you.
I recommend Christopher Cook for that:

I may speak with a friend who understands energy. It is so exciting to connect with people when you understand a bit about energy because you know that whatever the two of you are talking about (or thinking about) will be magnified. Just like the text of the Bible states that there is power when more than one person gathers. Well, I have run across many other texts related to many other religions, that say the same.
Some people think talking about energy is a waste.
It is running through them
And they do not even know it.
I recommend Starfire Codes for that

I may find a friend in this garden who is excellent at forming an informed and complex question and heavily researched topic like Spartacus@ICENI in his chat with AI that he sent out a week or two ago called “A Fourth Talk with Chat GPT.”
It was an amazing conversation to read.
It is something you should read on a strong day, not a depressed day.
It is about the technology we are dealing with and the ramifications of that.
It is very long, but you can skip around to get the gist of it. I recommend reading from the middle to the end if you are in a hurry.
I remember when I first ran across the ideas relayed there. I was in DESPAIR to think of it. But now I prefer to believe that this will not go down the way “they” want it to.
Take heart, friends.
Spartacus tells a sad ending to the story. It is easy to see why he did. I believe he was trying to demonstrate why we need to get our asses in gear, and pronto. I do not disagree. There are many things falling into place that could easily become our undoing. It is our job to know, to carry that knowledge, and to allow it to inform our decisions. It is our job to stare straight into it and then intend for otherwise. It is time for us to take small actions to make a change in ourselves and thereby our community.
If we recognize what is happening through the hard work of people like Spartacus, we can change the ending.
To him, I would like to say, “Thank you for checking the leaves for wasps.”
I have saved that chat for the purpose of future research, should I choose to delve back into that dark and complicated topic.
I appreciate the fact that he was willing to look at the ugliness of it long enough to share it with us in such a clear way. There are many, many hours of work represented in that chat.
Now, there are many alternate endings, but here is the one I conjured up for today.
We manage to change things in the next 10 years, we thwart a lot of their “plans” and wind up using these tools for good. We eradicate most current systems that are built on fraud and we begin to build anew. We live through this tumultuous time that we might secure a better future for coming generations. We no longer have psychopaths running the “pretend country.”
Let us just practice walking away from their “offers” every chance we get. Let us learn more about the fraud they perpetuate so that we may develop new ways to stand for ourselves and for those who come after us.
We will have to do away with fraudulent systems and institutions.
That will require a lot of deep reading and long, hard looks at what systems are in place. But if we come from a place of internal power and “knowing” and good intentions, we can traverse those thought jungles safely.

There should be another word like Omnism. Maybe we could make it not an “ism” word though. It would be a word that means, I believe a little from each writer, podcaster, and speaker I listen to or read. I believe that each person holds a little piece of truth. If I tell you that I recommend this person for this or that; know that I am not asserting whatever they are asserting on every subject.
That would be a ridiculous assumption anyway.
Thank you for not being ridiculous.
I choose to follow people who disagree with me on many topics. It is that ONE TOPIC that we have in common that keeps me there. I am sure you have had the same experience.
I will not hesitate to recommend them for certain reasons even if I do not agree with the totality of their messages.

Back to the food garden; you may want to grow beans as nitrogen fixers in your garden, but not because you like beans. It is just because they grow well and you need the nitrogen for other plants. Maybe you want to trade the green beans. You cannot assume that someone with a yard full of green beans loves green beans. Haha.
I do love green beans, by the way.
I will also not assume what you like or agree with based on what or where you are growing.

I talk with animals too. I had a weird conversation with a very weird toad this summer. I will write about that soon…
I was bit by a few wasps this year, late summer. I try not to take it personally - they are carnivorous and probably have families to feed, same as us. I do reserve the right to defend myself, so if you decide to take from or harm me or my family, proceed at your own risk. In reality, if they had just asked nicely, I probably would have shared.
Nature sure is our greatest advisor. We can behave like predators, prey or humans. Choose wisely 😉
