I am crying over here. I mean... it's so wonderful to have people in your life who celebrate the beauty in the world with you. Thank you. It feels so good to share it and to be well received. So thanks to you!
Oh, this brings back that charmed feeling of having little ones. Now you're tempting me to brush off some of my poems from that era. It is exactly what we need in these times. Thank you, Amy.
I knew what you meant pre-edit ;-) The chubby arms was the giveaway. It makes me ache, a little, to think about it too much. I love who my daughters are now and wouldn't go back and do it over if I could--there are times I look back and wonder how I ever did it the first time. But I'd love to have a time machine for little glimpses and cuddles.
Dear, Nefahotep, thank you :) I am working on the song now. It will take me longer than most songs. Most songs I write only for the piano, so all I need is the chord structure and my memory and a few notes here and there; but this time I am writing a singing part. I must be sure to keep it within my friends range. I will ask him to sing it for me, even though it's a mama song. Maybe I will change it to "parents dream" instead of "mothers dream" for that recording and then write it as mama for future use. Either way, I am currently writing in crayon on the back of a piece of previously used paper. HHHHHHHHHHHHaaaaaaaaaahaha. That says a lot to me about my tools. Pahaha. Anyway, it will take some time to transfer to real paper and a pen and from there I will need to make changes, write a new draft and then write it as music without software. You know, draw the staffs, count it out, mark each note, write the singing part (actual hand written musical notation; old school). I am guessing it takes me a month. (and my new rule is, when I say a month, I mean two) But since you brought it up, I took on the assignment and I thank you for that. I will share SOMETHING. Hopefully a crappy recording with my cell phone with me playing and my friend singing it. Use watchoo got! *grabs another crayon. Thank you.
It's happening. It's in the works. :) Thank you for backing up that idea. That's what happens when we are allowed to openly communicate with each other in this realm. Would you LOOk at that?

Such a beautifully written, heart-filled poem. And a song is on the way! Canβt wait. I loved reading your unconstrained exhilaration in the comments about composing it.π
Stunning poem and imagery, your love and pride shine right through! A motherβs love is beautiful, and youβve captured that love run wild feeling perfectly β€οΈ

It does ache at times :)
I would love to see some.
Prose can only mutter what poems can say loud and proud. You have such a talent! I love it.
I was in love, it was easy. Still am. Thank you!
That flows so well, you could put music to it.

Thank you, thank you. It was just running over at the time. I had to write it. I am so glad to still have it.
Me too, thanks for sharing it!
"Heaven cries for lack of you."
A mother's love is alpha & omega.
Lovely, What a beautiful tribute to your love as Mother and to your children. It got me right in the heart, and tears in my eyes!
Aw thank you Kara! I am happy to have you around :)
